If you are looking to jumpstart your floral career, this is the way to do it. I can’t say enough great things about Andrea and the De La Flor internship. It can be hard to know where to start in an industry and find your place. Andrea welcomes you not just into her business, but into her home as well. This internship gives you the first hand experience that you need to succeed. You gain experience, but also a mentor that wants you to thrive! After this internship, I feel confident in my ability to walk into any design space and know what it takes to create something great. Andrea gives you the tools and base knowledge that you need to learn, grow, and improve your craft. My skills have made major strides from the start of the internship to now. Practice makes perfect and she provides lots of opportunities for you to practice and get better. Being able to take away a beautifully stacked portfolio and the skills to back it up, is an experience that money cannot buy. I could not recommend this enough! I am so grateful that I took the chance and applied. It was worth every flower processed, bucket scrubbed, and then some!

Completing the internship for De La Flor was the best thing I could’ve done for my floral business! Through the internship, I was able to gain TONS of hands-on experience in a short amount of time, which is something I wouldn’t have been able to achieve as a beginning florist. It gave me a firsthand look at what it takes to be a wedding florist, and above all, helped me to become SO much more confident in my skills and ability to design!! Additionally, Andrea is so fun to work with, and I feel grateful to have her as a friend and mentor.
